Mental Health Check-In

Our mental health check-ins are open to all students and are conducted around particularly stressful times throughout the school year. 

Mental Health Support Group

In cultivating an open dialogue, this support group aims to provide students with a supportive environment to explore any personal experiences or emotions that they are confronting. Each week begins with a “check-in” with how their week has been going; covering positives, concerns or “issues” that they would like to address.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) Skills Group

DBT is a cognitive behavioural treatment developed by Marshall Linehan, PhD. This group teaches people DBT fundamentals to regulate their strong emotional responses through various learned skills.

Problematic Substance and Process Use

This workshop supports students in understanding the connection between addiction and mental health. It engages them in an active discussion about process and substance use. We provide students with key information, local services, tools and strategies. Students will explore ways to seek the support they need in preventing substance abuse and reducing harms associated with overuse.
